Chris and Codie met in 2017 while serving in the USMC together. They both had interest in real estate and worked on their own projects between 2018 and 2021. In 2021, they founded Easy Day REI LLC, which began their real estate investment journey together. Everything from flipping residential houses, to providing long- and short-term housing via rental properties, to commercial real estate ventures, Chris and Codie eagerly continue to grow their small business. They have recently found a new niche, and really enjoy providing housing to travel professionals in the local area.

Meet Codie
Codie is still active duty and in 2027, he will achieve the honor of retiring from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service. Codie can be found working behind the scenes. He analyzes all potential projects, handles business policy and development, and manages all financials and bookkeeping. He, his wife Katie, and their three girls live where ever the Marine Corps sends them. They are currently living in Virginia.
Meet Katie
Katie has been a nurse since 2013 and nurse practitioner since 2017. She specialized in emergency medicine and urgent care medicine during her time spent working in healthcare. In 2023, she hit pause on that career to take over short and mid-term rental operations and raise their three kids. She manages everything from design and purchasing, to set up and leasing, to guest communications.
Meet Chris
After Chris’ admirable service in the Marine Corps, he transitioned to working as a contractor that specializes in kitchens and lighting. Chris is oftentimes the face of Easy Day REI, as he handles much of the in-person requirements of running a small real estate business. He walks new potential projects, manages flips, and is the expert in market analysis. He, his wife Angel, and their 2 pups live locally in Eastern NC.
Meet Angel
Angel began her successful career in the beauty industry in 2010. She spends most of her time as a hair stylist, but is also a very talented make-up artist. In between owning her own salon and working full time, Angel assists in new property set up and quality control inspections to ensure proper upkeep and client satisfaction.
